Many people that do not vote have expressed to me that they do not know who to believe, who to trust, who to vote for, or which political party to join or vote with. I also hear a lot of people say they are all crooked, why bother. It is my sincere hope that with this sections advice and information you will become a savvy and informed regular voter that votes twice in every election, once in the primary then again in the General election.

Apathy in voting is Americas biggest concern and it's probably the main reason we are in the mess we are in. I am not just referring to Trump, or just to the Republican Party, but also the corporate Dems that run the Democratic Party. However, I must urge you all to register with the Democratic Party to vote for non corporate Dems in the Primary. Electing candidates that do not take corporate monies, or have super pacs, or funds that support foreign countries is essential to the survival of our Democracy. This will go a long way to bring down corruption in our Government which will enrich all lives instead of just the all ready wealthy. So please allow me to share what I do to pick a candidate.

Of course you need to register to vote. Most states you can register to vote online. Seven states do not allow online registration. So your first step is Google your county election office and get registered and they will let you know if it is allowed. Please do whatever it takes to get registered. It is so important. Politics effects every aspect of your life, really!

Congratulations, now that you are registered to vote you need to get a sample ballot which should be online at your county election office website. You may get one in the mail also, but I get started quicker with the online sample ballot. I like to start at the top of the ballet and work my way down. If you run out of time the most important races are locked in. This years election (2026) is called the mid-term election ( 2028 presidential election). So the top this year would be the US Senate Races.

Now if you are going to be a lazy voter and go by name recognition or polls from news sources which is all well and good because we are all happy that you are voting. However that is one of the reasons we are in this mess! With 10 minutes a day for a week or so you can sort out all your candidates and find a dark money free nominee. There are a bunch of tools at your disposal to aide you in making your best choices. I should add #3, is a must do. A candidate identified with taking Dark Money is out of the running in the primary phase for me, but in the general it's Vote Blue No Matter Who!

#3, Trackaipac.com ; Just put in your state and scroll. Your candidate will be in red or green box. In the red will be the amount donated to that person. To me that dude is out but if it is a low amount with a warning, well then in a pinch it is a maybe. #4, vote411.org ; Election information from the League of Women Voters. I have checked my picks with the ladies for many years and they are very good. If I can't find out what I need I'll go with their pick. they will also mention endorsements for the candidates.

#2, Progressive Wave (ur state here) or Blue Voter Guide (Ditto). At both you will find candidates that are the most likely to not take PAC MONEY

#5, Progressive Democrats of American ; pdamerica.org : Is a national grassroots organization advancing progressive policies, candidates, and people-powered Democracy.

#1, Ballotpedia.org ; A digital encyclopedia of American politics and elections. Simply put in your address and your ballot comes up with useful information to aid you in picking your best candidate.

Here are some endorsements to watch out for to help pic good candidates

Political Originations like Moveon.org, Jewish Voice for Peace Action, or Justice Democrats. #4. Others; Indivisible, Our Revolution, Leaders We Deserve, and Courage For Democracy.
